I am a junior at the Manhattan School of Music. I have been playing the guitar for about 1 year now and I made this website to help other people in the beginning and intermediate stages of guitar playing.

I play the acoustic and the electric guitar but my favorite is the acoustic guitar. Although play more acoustic guitar because I am a big fan of Jack Johnson, I am one of the biggest fans of Mark Knopfler!

I have written several articles on how to play the guitar, about beginner guitar lessons and easy guitar songs.

Most of the time it looks very easy to play the guitar… because you are watching someone with experience and they make it look so easy. Like with any other craft, learning to play the guitar will take time and effort and in the beginning it is challenging. It is also not easy to play the guitar and sing at the same time.

Mistakes are important because you learn from them and get better. Getting stressed out because your progress is not going as fast as you expected only brings negative thoughts and pressure in your mind. Just try it, continue and don’t give up.

If you are tired of doing everything on your own or you can’t find the right free information on the Internet then you can buy magazines or books. Even better than this is buying a nice online course with video tutorials and guides to help you improve your technique and teach you how to play your favourite songs. This will keep your motivation up and make the whole learning process fun!

On the Internet you can find a lot of beginner guitar lessons both for free and for a fee. Use the computer and the Internet to research what course would be the best for you and which one will allow you to progress as fast and as efficiently as a guitarist. These courses will help you learn much faster and that way you can put the time that you invest in practice pay off even more!
